ASPI
Shane,
We at ASPI wanted to take a minute and say “Thank You” for the outstanding service on the recent HAAS SL-40 lathe that was purchased from Jeffrey’s Manufacturing. We had requested a seven day delivery which we know was extremely aggressive for a machine tool like this. Not only did you guys accept the delivery terms, but when it was done, you actually beat those terms. The HAAS service technician is in our plant today doing the training. The timing could not have been better. Our customer that will need this lathe will be at our facility later today to discuss this project. We plan on running parts on the machine by the end of the week.
Once again, “Thank You” to Jeffrey’s and HAAS for a job well done.

Brooks,
You guys get all A's from me. Machine is working great. Still need to sell the Tsugami.
I had to get a few small jobs out of the way but I hope to be setting up our "lights out" operation next week. If all goes well we will be running 36,000 pieces over the next 10 months unattended, at night and on the weekends. I've got all my fixturing on a sub plate that is easily removed. Out in the mornings, in for the evenings. It will give us machine capacity during the day for short runs and one off stuff. No labor costs at night for the production run. We can also run slower. That's right, slower. We have 12 hours of off shift time to run 8 hours worth of production (not to mention the 48 hour weekend). Running slower means less wear and tear on the machine and greatly reduced tooling costs. We are going to use the machine tool as a "pick n place" robot. Several hundred blanks loaded in racks on one side of the table. A coolant actuated lathe bar puller (TSC option) mounted in a toolholder used to orient (Spindle Orient option) and place blanks on a magnetic chuck held between HRT210 and my own Rotary Axis Tailstock. We need the rotary axis to cut a specific angle in the part. Probing system for In-Process inspection of parts and on-the-fly tool offsets not to mention tool breakage sensing. Two cheap webcams (one on control, one on work envelope) feeding back to the house via cable internet. Cheap answering machine tied into the Spare User M-Functions dials my home phone number and plays recorded message if any alarms are generated. Auto Air gun to clear chips from tools and fixturing and of course the whole thing programmed with Macro flexibility. I'm sure I have forgotten some things.
There is almost nothing I will not be utilizing on this machine.
If I get all of this working, you should stop by sometime.
Wish me luck. Steve

Jeff,
Sometimes you think about how pleased you were with a particular product or service but never take the chance to let someone know about it. As I was filing the paperwork associated with our last service call I was thinking about how professional, thorough and courteous Scott Honea was in working through our recent spindle problem on the VF2SS. Based on my viewpoint as a customer I believe Scott to be a tremendous asset to your organization and the best service person I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Best Regards,

Kennametal
George,
I wanted to let you to know what kind of service Kennametal in Northwest
Arkansas receives from Haas / Jeffreys.
Yesterday morning our HS-3 machining center went down and our internal
technicians could not determine what the problem was. Our technicians
spoke with a Haas service tech. and a potential problem part was
identified, but Haas could not get here until the end of this week to
make the repair. At that point we made the decision to order the
replacement part, have it shipped Next Day Air, and install it
ourselves.
This morning when the 1st shift operator arrived the HS-3 was back up
and ready to run. Tony Russell, the Haas sales rep. and former service
tech. for this area heard about our situation and drove 3 1/2 hours,
intercepting a Haas tech. along the way to get additional replacement
parts that might be needed to repair our machine. Tony arrived at the
Bentonville facility at about 11:00 pm, identified the problem and had
the machine up and running by about 1:30 am.
When we purchase a machine tool, we are purchasing much more than a
piece of equipment. The service that we get from Tony Russell, Michael
Garner, and the Jefferys / Haas team is exceptional and essential to our
success.
Regards,
Paul

I found this comment site while looking at some products on your
web site. I would like to tell you about one of your salesmen.
In july 2002 we started our business. I contacted Dan Holleman with HAAS
and discussed our requirements. He came over and went over everything with
us and took us to see different machines.
He was very knowledgeable and made some very good suggestions. I decided
to go with his suggestions and purchased an SL-10, SL-20, and a VF-2. We
had 2 weeks from the time we decided to go into business till we had to
produce shafts for the electric motor industry. Dan and HAAS made it
happen and from signing a lease on a building to producing parts was a
whoping 13 days.
After approx 6 months in business our customer went to Mexico for their
shafts. We were about to go out of business. Dan stayed in touch with us
and when he found out we were in trouble he put me in contact with a
company that turned out to be a very good customer. If it had not been for
this contact we would be out of business today. Dan continues to check on
us from time to time and is continually putting me in contact with
potential new customers. He has brought people by to see our machines and
I recommend the HAAS machines very highly. I am pleased with my equip and
especially the customer service I get with Dan Holleman. With salesmen
like Dan it is easy to see why there are so many HAAS machines in this
area. I look forward to working with Dan on some more machine purchases
hopefully in the near future.
Thank you for providing us with the first rate machines and salesmen that
you do.

I called Joe Mason and asked him who to send a thank you to,
and he gave me your name.
We were getting a lot of pressure to supply a new part that we had
never run. Had fixture modified, new tooling and were ready to run
part Friday afternoon. After several tries, with no success because
of chatter in finish bores we found we had .004 slop in spindle.
Ron, who does our scheduling for service and repair called Jeffreys
and asked when we could get a spindle and have it repaired.
Your guys said they could have a spindle and service guy in Sat
morning.
Skip Birskovich was here first thing Sat morning and the
Spindle arrived at 10:30 AM Skip replaced the spindle and found out
that the drawbar was damaged and replaced it also. When he finished
replacing the spindle he said he would have to run it in and monitor it
for several hours. We went home and left Skip with our second shift
maintenance if he needed any help. We asked him to look at some limit
switches that was causing a fault at least 6 or 7 times a shift causing
a lot of downtime. When we came in Sunday morning everything
was done and Skip replaced both X and Y switches which needed
replaced. We got the parts running and have run around 500
pcs since then with no problem.
I want to thank you and your guys for a great job, and fast response
and especially Skip who came in on Saturday and did a fantastic Job.

Precision Components International
I am Carlos Algarin the engineering manager for Precision Components International. To provide a little background information and demonstrate we are a major manufacturing entity not a small shop. I took a moment to explain who we are below. You can find us on www.pciga.com to view our company profile.
Precision Components International, a subsidiary of Blade Technologies International Inc, offers solutions for precision and net forge products as well as machined and finished to B/P specification products.
We are a trusted supplier to leading medical implant and aerospace OEM’s; with international services located in the United States, Israel and China.
We specialize in a variety of materials, Titanium, SS, Cobalt Chrome and other specialty alloys. Our facilities employ the latest in design, manufacturing, quality and special process technologies. We are also NADCAP certified in thermal, chemical, coating and NDT services. With large capital investments in highly automated systems and processes, to include the HAAS CNC milling centers. Our HAAS 5 axis machining centers have all the bells and whistles.
We have incorporated HAAS CNC machining centers through-out our operations. Not to do the simple operations but to produce some of the most complex root geometries in the aerospace industry today. We have work with Jeffrey’s HAAS Solutions for many years and have produced thousands of precision products on the machines provided by them.
We started with one machine and it quickly turned into a row of 10 machines, holding cpk values over 1.33 consistently. We use all the options to include engrave capability and are now evaluated the incorporation of automating the material handling. This is a turn-key solution as well. Many companies can add this on later if you don’t do it up front. But, the control is open architecture allows for these codes to be turned on as an option.
To give you an idea of one of our HAAS lines, please see the attachment. We run 10 HAAS machines with one operator. We currently own 14 HAAS CNC 5 axis milling centers and 4 HAAS CNC 4 axis machines. In addition we just placed an order for three more with a scheduled delivery of May / June.
The machines are very reliable and built for the operator. A low cost solution in the strategy we employ. We do things a little different. About every three to five years we replace all our root milling HAAS machines to get the latest technology and to guarantee accuracy. This is due in part to the area of the machine lead-screw we use. We use only the center of the lead-screw. And the machines run 24/7. So after five years there is anticipated wear…like any machine in the market. So our strategy is to bring in new HAAS machines.
But, that’s not exactly the entire story. Our support from Jeffrey’s is beyond what you will ever experience from most machine tool companies. Jeffrey’s response time is not days, it’s hours to maybe one day and the great thing is they send a service rep in a truck holding just about any spare part you can imagine. They have demonstrated new spindle delivery in just a few days.
I have been working with Jeffrey’s for several years and will continue our relationship well into the future. The service is world class, response to customer requests and technical support stunning performance. And the people….I don’t where they find these guys. Remarkable the transition between representative’s is seamless. In fact I still receive courtesy calls from the very first sales/technical representative we had assigned to our project. You just don’t find this level of service and consideration every day.
I am not an employee of Jeffrey’s and not the easiest guy to do business with. But, it’s hard not to give credit when its due.
I highly recommend doing business with Jeffrey’s Machine Solutions. In addition, if you would like to come and tour our HAAS line; please coordinate with Todd Horton and we will make the arrangements.
Thank you for your time sir Return to Previous Page
